TechPREP- Math and Physics July 3rd
Today was pretty busy and fun. We started off by launching our rockets on the Physics lawn (video above). Most of the rockets averaged an angle of 70 degrees. A few ended up on either the trees or the roof of the building but most went straight in the air (such as in the videos). It was really, really cool. We also had a bigger rocket which held space for a special item to come down from the sky by parachute.
During lunch, the girls continued to work on their Capri-Sun/ Duck tape bags (photo above). They were really amazing. About 10 girls were fortunate enough to go on a trip to the heavy engineering building to see the 3-D printer and some items that were produced by the printer. One got to bring home a printed chess-piece rook.
After lunch we headed outdoors to bake our smores in solar ovens. The smores were delicious and fun to make. The solar ovens were very successful. Overall, the day was a little hectic but amazing.

The rockets looked super awesome. I can’t wait to see you ladies demonstrate one at the capstone tomorrow!!!!
